We love it and can play our season with ease. Now we use Diamond Mind Baseball computer simulation, which is based on the PTP game. I loved doing it-the stats-but it just became too weary and took too long to complete a season. It just became too difficult to play the games and tabulate all the statistics. It included 20 players on each at-that-time current (1970 season) baseball team, presented on tri-fold color charts. We don't use the board games any more, not since about 2001. And then, the PITCH League, our gaming league, exists because of PTP since 1989. I played that game since it's inception in 1984 or so. We were fans of Pursue The Pennant as it used 10 sided dice (1000 possible numbers instead of a paltry 216) and color on the player cards. Don't get me wrong, it's a very good simulator of baseball, but it's still going to have all the above-listed flaws of the board game and unless you specifically want to play the board game on your computer there are better sims out there, sims that are better simply because they aren't backwards-compatible with a game system that came out in. You can play an entire nine inning game of DICE Baseball in 30-40 minutes. Its funny but me and my friends always thought that Strat-O-Matic was kind of crude due to their use of only 6 sided dice. Each player is rated in numerous categories and has separate columns for versus left handers and versus right handers.
